Saplings Goresbridge Mission Statement
To support individuals with a diagnosis of autism and their families: assisting them to achieve their full potential and participate in their family and community life, through the provision of holistic, evidence-based services, celebrating the dignity of each individual, acknowledging their uniqueness and right to an optimal education.
Our aim is to enable our children to be as independent as possible, and our services currently encompass academic teaching, functional independent living skills, and assisting children to participate fully in community life. This may range from building up tolerance for dentists/hairdressers, to visiting cinemas or doctors and shopping. We liaise closely with professionals to ensure consistency of provision with regard to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language therapy, Sensory and Dietary Needs, and provide medical assistance.
We also endeavour to assist families in particular areas of concern, and will liaise closely with them in order to scaffold preparation for social occasions and family events. The level of intervention is developed in conjunction with the family and is individualised according to need.
